Moulage par injection de coque en plastique pour vos besoins de projet
What are plastic shell molds?
A plastic shell mold is a type of mold used to create plastic objects. It is made from two halves that are clamped together around the object to be molded. The halves are then heated until the plastic softens and is forced into the object’s shape. After the plastic cools, the mold is opened and the object is removed.
The different types of plastic shell molds
There are three types of plastic shell molds: compression, injection, and transfer. Compression molds are the oldest type of mold and are made from two halves that are put together and then clamped shut. This type of mold is used for simple parts with a flat surface. Injection molds are made from two halves that are clamped shut and then the plastic is injected into the mold. This type of mold is used for parts with more complex shapes. Transfer molds are similar to injection molds, but the plastic is injected into a cavity that is split into two halves. This type of mold is used for parts with very complex shapes.
What Are Plastic Injection Moulding Advantages And Disadvantages?
Plastic injection moulding advantages centre around great precision and high repeatability, combined with speed, a low cost per part and a huge choice of available plastics. Disadvantages include a higher initial cost and lead time than some other processes.
Which type of mold is best for your project?
So you’re thinking about starting a project and you’re not sure which type of mold is best for you? Well, this chapter will help you figure that out. There are three types of molds you can choose from: injection, compression, and transfer. Injection molds are best for small and intricate details, compression molds are best for larger parts, and transfer molds are best for complicated parts. So, think about the type of project you want to make and the level of detail you need and choose the mold that’s best for you.
Injection molding is a popular way to create plastic parts, and there are several types of molds you can use.
